Garnet: private AI that stays in your building, end to end
See it · Same question, two answers
Proof rather than a policy page.
A private Garnet, next to the cloud you rent. Ask them both the same thing. One keeps every word on your own machine. The other sends it to a machine under somebody else’s control — and from there, what happens to the copy is answered by a contract rather than by you.
Private AI in your building
Garnet builds your organization a private AI, end to end. It runs entirely on hardware in your building and works on your own material, with secure access to your documents: your files stay in your own store, are looked up only at answer-time, and stay on the machine. When one machine isn't enough, Garnet Mesh joins several into one system, and everything stays in your building. The airgap is a capability you switch on: with the network cut, it keeps answering. We build for the people who handle privileged work: family offices, law firms, research labs, and creative and finance teams. Your data and every conversation are yours. Family-office and private builds are scoped individually; enterprise, contact us.
What you are actually buying
A commissioned machine, installed in your building.
A Garnet is a specified, built and installed system rather than a licence or a seat: the hardware, the models that run on it, the work of fitting it to your material, and someone answering for it afterwards. It arrives working.
Builds start at $250,000 for a family office or a private individual. Enterprise and institutional builds are specified higher, because they are larger machines with more to connect and more people to answer to.
What it is good at
The work that has to stay in the room.
On hardware inside your building it is strong at everyday writing, at thinking a problem through with you, and at reading the material that has to stay put: contracts, case files, patient records, board papers. You hand it the real document rather than a redacted one, because the file stays where it is to be read.
The confidentiality comes from the architecture rather than from a policy page: every request stays on the machine, your words live on hardware you own, and anything a subpoena or a breach could reach is in your building. That is also the honest limit — a machine in your building runs smaller models than the largest in the world, and we would rather you knew the trade before you start than after.
After it is installed
Four lanes, or an engineer by the hour.
Four production lanes run alongside a build: GEO for citation visibility, an Audit retainer for architecture under continuous watch, Cluster Ops for on-prem model operations, and Sentinel for operations answered in the room your team already works in. Each is a subscription you can cancel.
For work that falls outside a retainer there is ad-hoc engineering at $600 per hour, billed by the minute, mobilised the same working day. Available on its own, by the hour. The full shape of every lane, with prices, is on the production lanes page, and the whole catalogue is on engagements.
Whether it is for you
It suits people whose work has to stay put.
Garnet is built for organisations whose most valuable material is also their most confidential: family offices, law and medicine, institutions under a regulator, and anyone whose work would be a story if it leaked. If your material is ordinary and a cloud subscription already serves you well, a Garnet is probably more machine than you need, and we will tell you so.
The next step is a conversation about what you actually need rather than a sales call. If you would rather see the comparison first, Garnet against rolling your own sets out the engineering time, the security gaps and the hardware calls side by side.
