The short version: Garnet is a private AI you run on your own computer. When you use the downloaded app, your conversations stay on your machine — we never receive them. This website collects only what's needed to let you try a demo, answer your questions, and book a setup. We don't sell your data, and we never use your conversations to train AI.

1. The Garnet app (what you download)

The Garnet desktop app runs entirely on your own computer. Your prompts and the AI's replies are processed locally and stay on your device. The app does not require an account, does not send your conversations to us or anyone else, and includes no advertising or conversation telemetry. What you do with Garnet on your machine is yours.

2. The on-page demo

The "try it" chat on this website is a convenience so you can experience Garnet without downloading anything. Unlike the installed app, that demo runs on a secure cloud service (Cloudflare Workers AI): the message you type is sent there to generate a reply and then returned to you. We do not store those demo messages or use them to train any model. If you want a fully private experience, download the app — it runs on your computer, not our cloud.

3. Information this website collects

Booking & waitlist details — if you book a setup or join the waitlist, we collect the name, email, and any details you provide, solely to contact you and provide the service you requested.
Payment information — the done-for-you setup is currently arranged by booking (there's no online checkout). If we add paid checkout in future, it will run through a PCI-compliant payment processor and we will not store your card details.
Basic website analytics — we use only minimal, privacy-respecting first-party analytics to understand aggregate traffic on this website (page visits, not identities). No third-party trackers, no advertising profiles. This is the website only — the Garnet app itself sends no telemetry; your conversations never leave your computer and we never see them.
Technical logs — standard server logs (e.g., a pseudonymized IP hash for rate-limiting and abuse prevention).

4. How we use information

To respond to your inquiries, schedule and deliver a setup you've booked, notify you when the app is available (if you joined the waitlist), keep the site running and secure, and improve the experience. That's it.

5. Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We share only with the service providers that operate the site, in order to provide it to you: Cloudflare (hosting and the demo inference) and our email provider. Each processes data only on our behalf. We may disclose information if required by law.

6. Cookies

We use a minimal set of cookies / local storage for basic site function. You can block cookies in your browser; the site will still work.

7. Your choices & rights

Depending on where you live (e.g., the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email privacy@garnetgrid.com and we'll respond.

8. Data retention & security

We keep booking and contact information for up to 24 months after our last interaction (or sooner on request), then delete it; transient demo traffic is not stored. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect what we hold. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure — but because the app itself is local, the most sensitive thing, your conversations, never leaves your computer in the first place.

9. Children

The site and service are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your region), and we don't knowingly collect their information.
